Types of insulating glass and five indicators in the national standard for insulating glass

2024-12-27

The application of insulating glass can improve the heat and sound insulation of doors and windows, so that doors and windows can not only shelter from wind and rain, but also have significant energy-saving effects, reducing the cost of heating in winter and cooling in summer. With the deepening of people's understanding of the excellent performance of insulating glass, the application range of insulating glass is expanding, in addition to glass curtain walls, automobiles, aircraft, etc.

1. Classification of insulating glass

At present, there are two types of insulating glass in the domestic market

1. Grooved aluminum insulating glass: This kind of insulating glass was introduced in the 80s, which is relatively mature, but the processing technology is more complex.

2. Aluminum strip insulating glass: this kind of insulating glass started late in China, but the manufacturing process is simple, so it has a wide range of applications and is quickly promoted.

Second, the five indicators of insulating glass

1. Initial dew point; 2. Seal test; 3. Ultraviolet irradiation; 4. High temperature and high humidity; 5. Climatic cycle test.
According to the national testing standards, how to arrange our production in order to meet the requirements of insulating glass? Due to the similarities between the two kinds of insulating glass in terms of technological process, their common process flow is briefly analyzed.

1. Glass cutting and blanking

THE ORIGINAL GLASS IS GENERALLY COLORLESS FLOAT GLASS OR OTHER COLORED GLASS, SUNSHADE GLASS, TEMPERED GLASS, LAMINATED GLASS, THE THICKNESS IS GENERALLY 3-12MM, THE ABOVE GLASS MUST MEET THE NEW NATIONAL STANDARD GB11614 FLAT GLASS IN THE PROVISIONS OF THE FIRST-CLASS PRODUCT, AND CAN ONLY BE USED AFTER PASSING THE INSPECTION.

Glass cutting can be done by hand or by machine, but it should be guaranteed to meet the dimensional requirements. In the process of operation, workers in this process should pay attention to the fact that there should be no scratches on the surface of the glass, the inner quality should be uniform, and there should be no obvious defects such as bubbles and slag inclusions.

2. Glass cleaning and drying

Machine cleaning must be used for glass cleaning, because manual cleaning cannot guarantee the cleaning quality.

Before cleaning, the glass must be checked without scratches, and in order to ensure the adhesion between the sealant and the glass, deionized water is used. In addition, in order to ensure water recycling and save water resources, the water can be filtered to ensure long-term use.

If there are water droplets, water stains and other stains, it is necessary to adjust the running speed, heating temperature, air volume and brush gap of the machine until the effect is intact.

After washing, the glass should be assembled into insulating glass within 1 hour, and it is necessary to ensure that the glass and the glass are not scratched and scratched.

3. Assembly of aluminum strip insulating glass

(1) Requirements for the environment: the temperature should be between 10-30 degrees.

(2) Relative humidity requirements: This kind of insulating glass has slightly lower requirements for relative humidity, and it is normal to do so.

However, it should be noted that the desiccant should be selected from the qualified products of regular manufacturers to ensure the effective use of the desiccant.

After the desiccant is opened, it will be used up within 24 hours, because the air permeability of polysulfide rubber is large and the sealing is poor, so it is necessary to use double sealing.

Butyl glue is used as a seal to block gases.

The two-component adhesive is used as the second seal, and the main role is the bonding effect, followed by the air isolation effect.

Practice has proved that the life of single-channel sealed insulating glass is only about 5 years, while the life of double-channel sealed insulating glass can be as long as 20 years or even more than 40 years, therefore, the development of double-channel sealed insulating glass is the general trend.

4. Glass lamination

ALUMINIUM STRIP INSULATING GLASS, THERE SHOULD BE A DISTANCE OF 5-7MM BETWEEN THE OUTER EDGE OF THE ALUMINUM FRAME AND THE EDGE OF THE GLASS AFTER LAMINATION, WHICH IS USED TO COAT THE SECOND SEALANT, AND THE TWO-COMPONENT GLUE SHOULD BE EVENLY COATED ALONG ONE SIDE TO PREVENT BUBBLES, AND SCRAPE OFF THE RESIDUAL GLASS SURFACE AFTER COATING.
So far, the processing of aluminum strip insulating glass has been completed.
5. Placement of insulating glass

The correct placement of insulating glass can also have an impact on the final quality of insulating glass, whether in production, transportation or storage on site.

First of all, the design requirements of the stacking rack should take into account the characteristics of the insulating glass, and the stacking rack should have a certain inclination. However, the bottom plane and sides should always be kept at 90 degrees, so that the bottom edge of the two pieces of insulating glass can be placed vertically on the stacking rack.

In addition, it should be noted that the bottom of the glass should not be stained with oil stains, lime and other fillers, because they will have different degrees of erosion on the second sealant of the insulating glass, thus affecting the sealing performance of the insulating glass.
In order to improve the effect of sound insulation and heat insulation of insulating glass, many manufacturers now take the air in the insulating glass and inject inert gas into the insulating glass, which makes the performance of the insulating glass further improved.
